Decorators sought for Pemberville Festival of Trees

Student produced art will be on sale at ArtsX, Saturday, Dec. 1.

(Submitted by Pemberville-Freedom Area Historical Society)

The Pemberville – Freedom Area Historical Society is excited for this year’s Festival of Trees – Nov. 25 and 26. Our theme is “The Magic of
Christmas.” We would like to ask for your support to decorate a tree this year. Anything goes! Color of tree, lights, décor, etc – you create/decorate a tree
(at least 6ft tall, of course we welcome taller trees) for all to enjoy. Patrons get to vote for their “favorite trees.” The winning tree/decorator receives $100 cash. If you know of someone that would be willing to assist you, teams are welcome.

Additional opportunities, new for 2017, are tablescapes. Following the “Magic of Christmas” theme, decorators will create table settings for four and centerpiece décor. Our committee will supply a 48 inch, round table and linen to the floor—you choose the color. Again, anything goes. We are seeking four decorators and/or teams.

We are also seeking 12 decorators for miniature trees, who would like to create and donate a tree (four feet or smaller) for a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Historical Society. Patrons will view and bid on the trees during this year’s Christmas in the Village.

Without your time and talent, this fundraiser would not be possible. The Opera House will once again be the setting for these unique displays/fundraiser.
Decorators will have access to the Opera House starting Friday, Nov. 17 through Thanksgiving evening. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call one of us.

Please call to confirm your participation/theme. (Todd Sheets, 419-287-3274; Cindy Lohrbach, 419-287-3876; Laurie Housholder, 419-686-8125). See you at the Opera House.
