Robert ‘Bob’ Helm

Robert “Bob” W. Helm, 66, of Dallas, TX, and formerly of Luckey, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 in Texas. He was born on December 5, 1952, in Toledo, OH to Arlington A. and Isabell M. (Bodey) Helm. Bob graduated from Eastwood High School in 1970 and Bowling Green State University in 1974. At BGSU, he was a member of the ROTC and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Bob served his country as a pilot in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Captain. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to civilian life and worked as an accountant for various companies before he retired. He enjoyed flying, traveling, music, and singing. 

Bob is survived by his brother: Denny (Barbara) Helm of Luckey, nephew: Brad (Brooke) Helm of Lewis Center, OH, nieces: Kerry (Nate) Fatzinger of Grand Rapids, OH, Amy (Joe) Miller of Woodville, OH, 3 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 West Main, Luckey, OH. A
memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., with Pastor Arnie Elton officiating. Interment will take place in a private family committal in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials take the form of contributions to: Zion United Methodist Church or Troy-Webster American Legion #240.
