Bowling Green Police arrested two women last week in two separate assault cases.
On Friday (May 23), around 5:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 hang up call about a fight between a customer and employee at a gas station in the 1600 block of East Wooster Street.
Shannon Walsh, 28, of North Baltimore, was charged with assault and transported to Wood County Jail.
A customer at the gas station told police that she and Walsh were arguing over a transaction, when Walsh allegedly picked up the change/tip jar and threw it over the counter at the customer. Walsh then reportedly walked around the counter and began a physical altercation with the customer. A witness told police he saw Walsh holding the customer by the hair and hitting her.
Security camera footage inside the station was reportedly consistent with the reports.
On Thursday (May 22) around 6 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight at a home in the 400 block of South Grove Street.
Lateesha Curry, 33, of Bowling Green, was arrested for domestic violence and taken to Wood County Jail. Curry allegedly kicked the back and struck the face of another woman in the home. The dispute reportedly moved outside to the front yard.
