The Grand Rapids Corteva Agriscience seed production facility is celebrating 50 years of producing high-quality soybean and wheat seed for farmers across the Eastern Corn Belt Region. Established in 1975 under Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.’s Peterson Soybean Seed Division, the site is now part of Corteva Agriscience, a global leader in agriculture.

To mark this milestone, the public is invited to an open house on Thursday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. Guided tours of the facility will take place from 9-11:00 a.m. and noon to 2:30 PM, with a special presentation and awards ceremony from 11 a.m.  to noon.

Lunch will be available from noon  to 2 p.m.

The facility manages every stage of seed production—from fieldwork to cleaning, packaging, and shipping—supporting farmers with trusted brands like Pioneer, Brevant, Dairyland Seed, and Seed Consultants, Inc. The team also remains committed to sustainability, safety, and giving back to the local community through ongoing volunteer efforts.
