Yolanda Martinez, 89 of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Sunday July 6, 2025. She was born March 7, 1936 in Esperanzas, Coahuila Mexico to Jose and Clementina (Martinez) Ordaz.
Yolanda was a faithful member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Yolanda spent many years working at Klotz Flower Farm caring for the flowers she loved. She also spent many happy years working for the Migrant Program as a teacher’s aide in various school districts in Wood County. In her free time she enjoyed reading, gardening, watching and feeding outdoor animals.
Yolanda is survived by her children, John Martinez, of Bowling Green, Delia (Amado) Castillo of Bowling Green, Brenda Martinez of Tontogany, and Leticia Martinez of Toledo, Son-in-Law Dwight Sherwood of Bowling Green, as well as 10 grandchildren Amanda, Robert, James, Joseph, Brandon, Marquis, Marisa, Hunter, Caden, Sabrina and 9 great-grandchildren Lincoln, Clark, Jackson, Jayden, Carson, Lacey, Scarlet and Baylor and Winslow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Guerra Martinez, Daughter Sandra (Dwight) Sherwood, and siblings Horacio, Oscar, Maria De Socorro,Velia and Roble.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Interment will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
