From BLACK SWAMP QUILTERS GUILD
The community is invited to attend the Quilts and Needle Arts Festival being held from Thursday – Saturday, Sept. 18 – 20 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the Junior Fair Building, Wood County Fairgrounds, 13800 W. Poe Road, Bowling Green. The Black Swamp Quilters Guild and the Needle Arts Guild of Toledo will present the festival.
Along with displays of quilts and needle arts, other activities will take place. A quilt made by Quilt Guild President Carol Hicks will be raffled for $5 per ticket or $25 for six tickets. Baskets will also be raffled for $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. Quilts will be presented in bed-turnings, needle arts demonstrated, and vendors will be on site each day. Awards will be given for “People’s Choice.”
Raffle beneficiaries are The Cocoon, for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and “Let’s Build Beds,” a group that organizes bed-building events and purchases materials and bedding for children 3 – 17 years of age.
Buses are welcome and the venue is handicapped accessible.
