Perrysburg man charged with OVI after reportedly causing wrong-way crash on I-75

The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a wrong-way crash on Interstate 75. The crash was reported today (Feb. 25) at approximately 12:42 a.m., on I-75 near milepost 197, in Rossford.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Lincoln operated by Shane Robinson, 50, of Perrysburg, was traveling south on the northbound exit ramp of I-75. 

A 2013 Freightliner truck operated by Sanad Abdorab, 30, of Hamtramck, Michigan, was traveling north on I-75 in the right lane. The Lincoln struck the truck, and both vehicles then traveled off of the right side of the roadway and into a ditch.

Robinson was administered a sobriety field test at the scene of the crash which resulted in him being placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI).

Robinson suffered minor injuries. Abdorab was not injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Rossford Police Department, Perrysburg Township Fire & EMS, Bubba’s Towing, and VJ’s Towing.
