From WOOD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Wood County’s risk for severe weather has increased to a “slight risk.”
Showers will develop in Wood County beginning around 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., the chance of heavier showers and thunderstorms increase continuing into late evening.
The best chance of showers and storms will be between 4 – 10 p.m. Some cells may become strong to severe, capable of producing strong winds and/or large hail. An isolated tornado is possible as well.
Some showers and storms will continue after 10 p.m., but the severe threat will be less.
The Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor and provide updates as appropriate.
