BG Police arrest two teens for alleged roles in slashing car tire

Two teenagers were arrested by Bowling Green Police for their alleged involvement in slashing a car tire over the weekend.

Police were called to a home in the 600 block of Jacqueline Place, on Saturday (May 16) around 6:30 p.m., after residents reported that someone wearing a ski mask slashed the front tire of their car. One of the residents chased the teen, who allegedly showed the knife and threatened the man in pursuit.

The boy was reportedly caught on cameras as he ran through a neighbor’s yard.

The suspect reportedly got in a vehicle, known to police, and was found at an apartment in the 200 block of South College Drive. In the car, police reportedly found a knife and clothing items worn during the tire slashing.

Police arrested one 14-year-old boy for criminal damaging and aggravated menacing, and another 14-year-old boy for obstructing official business. Both were taken to the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
