A Bowling Green man was arrested on May 28 for violating a protection order. Bowling Green Police were notified that the 50-year-old man had reportedly closed bank accounts and terminated the phone service of the person covered by the protection order.
The order stated that he was not allowed to shut off, change or cancel any utilities, including telephone service. The person covered by the order received a text from ATT that her account password had been changed, then that it had been shut off. She was also notified that two bank accounts had been closed, and a hold had been placed on her for another account.
The man was taken to Wood County Jail. Police helped the woman with a victim’s rights form, and referred her to a Cocoon advocate.
