A Jerry City man reportedly called the Wood County Sheriff’s Office this morning (July 3) to report that he shot and killed his friend from Bowling Green.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicide that took place at the home of Logan Carrier, 27, at 981 Main St. in the village of Jerry City. Carrier, the suspected shooter, reportedly called 911 at 4:21 a.m., to report he had shot and killed Thomas “TJ” Sager Jr., 30, of Bowling Green.
Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies took Carrier into custody, and located Thomas with a gunshot wound to the head.
Also in the home at the time were Logan’s fiancée and their 5-year-old child.
Arriving and assisting on scene were the Wood County Coroner, Wood County Prosecutor’s Office, BCI, Wood County Dog Warden, and Mid-County 120 EMS crews.
Carrier was taken to Wood County Jail. The incident is still under investigation.
