Northern Wood County is under a “marginal risk” (1 of 2) for severe weather today, July 20. Tuesday, July 21, all of Wood County is under a “marginal risk” with the Bloomdale area under a “slight risk” (2 of 5) for severe weather.
Dry weather is expected today with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible beginning to push through later tonight and continue through Tuesday evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible early Tuesday morning, throughout the day into evening hours. Tuesday afternoon is the greatest chance for severe weather with wind gusts up to 50-60mph, one-inch hail and isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Rainfall is expected to be one-half to one inch.
It is encouraged for everyone to have multiple ways to receive emergency notifications.
Wood County EMA will continue to monitor and provide updates as deemed appropriate.
