Bowling Green Police arrested three men who were reportedly intoxicated and passed out in public places last week.
On Thursday (July 16) around 5:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a bench outside Mike’s Party Mart, 834 S. Main St., where two brothers were passed out. Officers found Jacob Ditch, 40, Bowling Green, hunched over on a bench, and Joseph Ditch, 32, Toledo, on the ground next to the bench. An open bottle of vodka was on the bench.
Both men reportedly had glassy eyes, slurred speech, smelled of alcohol, and had difficulty sitting on the bench. They were charged with disorderly conduct, being intoxicated and unable to care for themselves, and were taken to Wood County Jail.
On Friday (July 17) around 2 a.m., a passerby in the downtown area asked police to check on a male sleeping on a bench in the area of 162 N. Main St.
Police found Morgan Svidron, 35, Omaha, Nebraska, and had difficulty waking him. He reportedly had bloodshot and watery eyes, a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech. He was charged with disorderly conduct, being unable to care for himself, and having an open container in public.
He was taken to Wood County Hospital for medical clearance, then to Wood County Jail.
