The sounds of laughter echoed off the sides of downtown buildings during Firefly Nights on Friday evening. Families gathered to take in live music, enjoy food trucks, and have an evening filled with fun.
Youth had the opportunity to jump on trampolines, make crafts, get their faces painted, and play a variety of games. Everyone was invited to the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation tent to take a survey that will help shape its new master plan, and the Bowling Green Community Foundation’s mosaic mural tile painting was so popular that the organization ran out of tiles.
Vendors also offered a variety of goods including stained glass, food, and permanent jewelry. Though temperatures were mild, the spirit of summer could be felt throughout the entire evening.
