A Bowling Green man was arrested for alleged domestic violence and strangulation after he called BG Police Division to report a confrontation with the woman he was sharing an apartment with.
Police responded to the home in the 100 block of Lehman Avenue on Friday (July 31) around 5:20 p.m., and arrested Thomas Laurie Jr., 20.
This was the third call to the apartment in the last two months.
According to the police report, it appeared both Laurie and the woman had inflicted injuries to the other.
The woman reportedly hit Laurie with a butane torch, bit his arm, and ripped two shirts he was wearing. Laurie reportedly hit the woman multiple times, pushed her into a wall, choked her, and pushed her down to lick his shoes.
Police noted red marks on both sides of the woman’s neck. She was taken to Wood County Hospital, and Laurie was taken to Wood County Jail.
