Today was the filing deadline in Ohio for candidates and issues to appear on the Nov. 3 general election.
CANDIDATES
The Wood County Board of Elections issued a list of candidates and issues filed locally by the 4 p.m. deadline. The board will meet on Aug. 11 to vote to officially approve the candidates and issues to appear on the ballot. Following are the candidates who filed as of today:

- Wood County District Public Library tax levy renewal, 0.8 mills for six years, for current expenses.
Bowling Green
- Parks and recreation tax levy renewal of 2 mills, increase of 0.95 mills, for providing funds for parks and recreation purposes.
Schools
- Eastwood Local School District: Income tax and bond issue (0.5% income tax and 6.49 mills bond issue) for constructing school facilities.
- Lake Local School District: 1% income tax for continuing period of time.
- McComb Local School District: Income tax and bond issue (0.25% income tax and 6.99 mills bond issue for 37 years for constructing school facilities.
- North Baltimore Local School District: 1% income tax for five years for current expenses.
