Bowling Green Police responded to an assault reported at a manufacturing plant on East Gypsy Lane Road on Monday (9/14), around 4:13 p.m.
The suspect, Johnathan McNeal, 34, of Toledo, had already left the scene, and police requested warrants be issued for his arrest for assault and felonious assault.
Police found the victim inside the plant, lying on his back with blood on the ground near his head. BG EMS transported the victim to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
A second victim reportedly told police that she was trying to correct McNeal on his work, when he allegedly punched her in the throat. Multiple workers then called for a supervisor to respond.
Video inside the plant viewed by police allegedly showed McNeal holding the supervisor upside down by his legs, then forcefully slamming him head first into a machine shelf, then continuing to slam him down head first onto the concrete floor. The police report stated that while being held upside down, the victim appeared to try to grab a cage on a piece of equipment to brace himself, but was unsuccessful.
The video then reportedly showed McNeal stomping on the man’s head multiple times before walking away.
The condition of the victim is unknown.
