Mary Grace Yates, 85, of New Carlisle, OH, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. She was born April 11, 1941, the daughter of the late Phillip and Margarite Seibert.
Mary was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, OH and would often attend Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore, OH, which is close to her extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Maxwell Yates; son Matthew Yates; siblings Betty McCartney, Linda McGuire, Phillip Seibert, David Seibert, Richard Seibert, and Donald Seibert.
Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Richard Ryan; grandchildren Jessica (Matthew) Welch and Richard (Erica) Ryan; great-grandchildren Ava, Jada, Jack, Kate, and Max; siblings Barbara Swope, Julia Matzinger, Thelma Bankey, Terri (Paul) Preston, John (Phyllis) Seibert, and Dale Seibert; loving friend Albert Basso; numerous nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Visitation for her Northern Ohio family and friends will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, OH.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, OH. Burial will be with her husband and son at Jerry City Cemetery.
