On November 3, voters will be asked to consider a 1.0 mill renewal levy for the Wood
County Committee on Aging. It is a renewal, not a new tax, that will continue critical
funding that supplies over 70% of the operating revenue of the agency.
The programs offered through the Committee on Aging help older adults remain active,
healthy, and independent. From congregate and home-delivered meals to educational
opportunities, transportation and wellness services, these programs improve quality of
life for thousands of seniors throughout our county.
I hope voters will recognize the tremendous value these services provide and vote YES
on November 3 for the Wood County Committee on Aging renewal levy.
