BGSU to host community town hall about data centers

Bowling Green State University will host a community town hall titled, "Data Centers, Community, and Sustainability in Northwest Ohio," on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Bowling Green State University will host a community town hall titled, “Data Centers, Community, and Sustainability in Northwest Ohio,” on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will take place at the Veteran’s Memorial Building at City Park, 520 Conneaut Ave., Bowling Green.

Town hall speakers

Kyle A. Brooks joined the Ohio Township Association in January 2023 as director of governmental affairs and was named executive director in 2026. He oversees the operations of the association and leads all legislative and advocacy efforts on behalf of Ohio’s 1,308 townships.

Tammy K. Clark is a highly credentialed industrial hygienist and occupational environmental health and safety professional with over 20 years of experience managing health, safety, and compliance programs for organizations across industries. She helped to create Stand Up Michigan, an influential grassroots organization in Michigan, and is now an in-demand lecturer and educator across the country.

Kristen Meghan Kelly has over 20 years of experience as a senior industrial hygienist, public health professional, and environmental specialist. She is an activist, consultant, expert witness, and media contributor for international and national television documentaries, and host of the “Vet to Visionary” podcast.

Stephen E. Petty is a certified industrial hygienist, certified safety professional and professional engineer – civil, chemical, and environmental engineering. He is the founder and president of EES Group Engineering (Ohio and Florida). He is a forensic, exposure, and PPE expert and has testified as an expert witness in approximately 400 exposure cases.

Chelsea Ziss is the 52nd mayor of Maumee. She serves as director of digital strategy for an organization focused on helping leaders and workplaces succeed through strong communication and inclusive leadership. Ziss is a co-founder of the Citizens of Maumee Action Committee, a grassroots organization dedicated to informing residents about the city’s sewer remediation program.
