A man was taken to a Toledo hospital early this morning for multiple gunshot wounds after a local resident said he shot at intruders in his home.
Bowling Green Police Division received a call at 1:05 this morning from a resident in the 100 block of Liberty Street, who said a couple people broke into his home and he shot to defend himself, according to Lt. Dan Mancuso.
The intruders ran, and police found the man who had been shot at the corner of North Main and Evers streets. He was treated at the scene for multiple gunshot wounds by Bowling Green EMS then transported to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, according to BG Fire Captain Lucas Ward.
The other suspected intruder has not been found. It is unknown if the men were armed.
No names of those involved were available this morning. No charges have been filed, Mancuso said.
