BG Police investigate four thefts from vehicles

Bowling Green Police Division is investigating thefts from four vehicles in the city since Friday. Reported stolen were a credit card, loose change, and CDs of hits from the 1970s and 1980s.

The first theft was reported Friday at 11:16 a.m., in the 500 block of South Main Street. In that case, a credit card was stolen and then reportedly used to make three unauthorized transactions of $16.90 at Circle K, $97.13 at WalMart, and $63.50 at Meijer.

Police are checking the video surveillance at those stores to help identify the suspect.

Later on Friday, at 1:48 p.m., police received a call about theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of South Summit Street. The owner reported items taken as $20 in cash, bank receipts, and a box of four CDs of hits from the 1970s and 1980s.

On Saturday at 12:42 p.m., a resident in the 700 block of Birch Street reported that two unlocked vehicles in the driveway had been rummaged through. Missing was about $5 in change.

And on Monday, at 7:47 a.m., a resident in the 1000 block of North Main Street reported that loose change had been stolen from a vehicle. The suspect took all the silver coins, but left the pennies.
