Wood County now has 29 residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the daily update from the Wood County Health Department on Sunday, April 5.
Of those 29 people, 15 are hospitalized. As of today, Wood County Hospital has two patients who tested positive for COVID-19. Those not hospitalized are staying isolated in their homes.
They range in age from 20 to 74, with the median age of 57. Sixteen are female, 13 are male.
The tests are not readily available in Wood County, so local officials predict there are many more people here with the virus.
No additional information about the 29 Wood County residents will be provided by the health department in order to protect their privacy. A Rossford city official released information last week that the first two cases in the county involved residents of that community.
As of today, Ohio has 4,043 cases, with 1,104 hospitalizations and 119 deaths. The age range has been 1 to 101 years old.
