Wood County has 292 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases, as of the Sunday, May 31, update from the Wood County Health Department.
A total of 46 people with the virus in Wood County have died.
Of the 46 who have died, 24 were females, and 22 were males. Seven were in their 60s, nine in their 70s, 21 in their 80s, and nine in their 90s.
Of the total 292 cases in Wood County, at least 198 are in long-term care facilities – 127 are residents and 71 are staff. Those numbers from long-term care facilities are updated every Wednesday.
As of last week, the following facilities have cases:
- SKLD Perrysburg: 49 residents, 7 staff.
- Kingston Residence of Perrysburg: 44 residents, 17 staff.
- Kingston Rehabilitation of Perrysburg: 11 residents, 25 staff.
- The Manor at Perrysburg: 18 residents, 5 staff.
- Otterbein Perrysburg: 4 residents, 13 staff.
- Otterbein Pemberville: 0 residents, 1 staff.
- Heritage Corner Health Care, Bowling Green: 1 resident, 3 staff.
According to the Ohio Department of Health, at least 35 of Wood County’s 45 deaths from COVID-19 have occurred in long-term care facilities.
Of the total 292 cases in the county as of today, those with the virus range in age from 1 to 100, with the median age of 59. Of the local cases, 172 are females and 120 are males.
A total of 66 Wood County residents are currently hospitalized for the virus.
