Bowling Green Police Division arrested a man early this morning after he reportedly threatened to “shoot up” a downtown bar.
Officers were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. to a bar on North Main Street for an unwanted guest, and found Keenan Philpott, 22, Akron, who matched the description walking away from the bar and yelling.
Philpott reportedly told police that he was upset about being kicked out of the bar, and admitted to threatening to get his gun. Philpott reportedly told police he was a concealed carry weapon holder, but that he didn’t plan to actually get his gun.
A bar employee told police that Philpott was kicked out for throwing up and being too intoxicated. The employee said that Philpott called a friend on speaker phone and told the friend what bar he was at, and asked him to “bring his dirty gun, not the clean one.”
Philpott was arrested for aggravated menacing and transported to the Wood County Jail.
