Wood County has reported five new cases and two more deaths from COVID-19 since Monday. The new deaths are a male in his 70s, and a female in her 40s.
The county is now up to 13,295 confirmed and probable cases from COVID, 229 deaths and 658 hospitalizations since last March, according to the Thursday, June 24, update from the Wood County Health Department.
The county is currently at 10.7 COVID cases per 100,000 residents.
As of today, 51.74% of the county population has been vaccinated. That’s 67,689 people who have gotten at least their first vaccine dose.
