Toledo School for the Arts will bring together all who assisted in the vision and planning to build TSA’s largest expansion at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 6 at 15th and Adams Streets. The project has been dubbed “The Next Big Thing,” and its goals are to serve more students, improve the facility and increase sustainability for decades to come.

The expansion plans include a black box studio, a barrier-free dance studio, a five-story staircase, expanded academic and arts technologies classrooms and a larger art gallery and school store all within the Adams Street “Creative Corridor.” Floor plans and conceptual drawings of the spaces will be available for the May 6 event attendees.

The Maxine and Stuart Frankel Foundation, a longtime TSA supporter, is the lead donor for the project, which will also include expanded educational programming and increased opportunities for the community at large to engage in arts activities in the building after school and on weekends. To date, some 675 individuals, businesses and foundations have also supported the project.
