North Baltimore Village Council will meet Tuesday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m., in council chambers. Council members will consider seven ordinances and one resolution.
New legislation getting first readings involve:
- Ordinance enacting a special assessment for the cost of cleaning the streets, alleys and other public places in the village.
- Ordinance enacting a special assessment for the cost of trimming, maintaining, and planting of trees along the streets, alleys and other public places in the village.
- Ordinance enacting a special assessment for the expense of lighting of streets, alleys and other public places in the village.
- Ordinance adopting the estimate of revenues for the budget year beginning Jan. 1, 2024.
- Ordinance vacating the unimproved right-of-ways and alleys bounded by American Legion Drive, East Street, High Street and South Tarr Street.
Village Council will hear the second reading of:
- Ordinance authorizing the village administrator to advertise bids to sell a parcel of land.
Third readings and votes will be taken on:
- Resolution approving the amended Wood County Solid Waste Management Plan.
- Ordinance creating and establishing the part-time position of property maintenance officer for the village.
Also during the meeting, the village administrator will report on a water main project, Water Street bridge replacement, plans for a Sheetz site, installation of banners and flags on approved AEP poles, downtown revitalization, vacating of alleys from the old football field, changes to the village website, and efforts to create a blight policy to make the town look more attractive and welcoming.
