An 80-year-old Bowling Green man was charged with domestic violence after he allegedly tried to hit a family member with his vehicle in the driveway of their home in the 1000 block of Partridge Lane.
After the incident Sunday around noon, Stephen Vargo Jr. was taken to Wood County Jail.
According to the police report, family members had been living elsewhere because of concerns about Vargo. When they came home on Sunday, Vargo reportedly gunned the car in the direction of a family member, who had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
