Meet Raine and Joseph – two 12-week-old pit bull mix puppies that were found as strays this week and are now residing at the Wood County Dog Shelter.
“They are super sweet and typical puppies who love everybody they meet,” said Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “They are little love bugs who love to cuddle up next to you.”
The puppies will need basic training as they are still very young and learning. But they are eager to please, Harding said.
Their stray hold is up on Monday and they will be scheduled to get fixed Tuesday and then be ready for their forever homes.
The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
