The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipient of the Investor Grant for the fourth quarter of 2023 is All About You Aesthetics and Wellness.
Dot Barnes, owner of All About You Aesthetics and Wellness, applied for the Investor Grant in hopes of using the money to help offset the cost of an automated external defibrillator for her Bowling Green-based spa and wellness business, which offers enhanced skin aesthetics services, IV hydration, and personalized injection treatments.
“Any time medications are introduced into the body there is a possibility of a reaction that could include a cardiac emergency,” said Barnes. “Receiving the grant [provides] the ability for a higher level of emergency care to be used in the event of a cardiac emergency… Having a defibrillator at hand may increase the chance of survival from around 10% with only good CPR to 60-80% with immediate use of the AED. Having an additional AED in a downtown business adds to the safety and security of all businesses in the area.”
The Quarterly Investor Grants are available to all investors in good standing at the chamber, and the application is available online for easy submission. The Quarterly Investor Grant provides a chamber investor up to $1,000 that can offset the cost of an employee training program, the purchase of business-related equipment, or applied towards the offset of a BGSU/Owens student internship. The deadline for the first Quarter Grant submission is March 31 st , 2024.
