Annual tree photo contest in BG focuses on ‘Big Trees Near Me’

The City of Bowling Green Tree Commission has announced its tree photo contest with the theme “Big Trees Near Me,” showcasing the larger trees of Bowling Green. The commission wishes to raise awareness of the trees that are found on both private and public property.

Modified from its previous format, the annual tree photo contest will take resident photo submissions highlighting trees throughout Bowling Green that are big and tall.

The contest runs through June 30. The top photo will receive a $50 gift certificate from North Branch Nursery and a print of the photo from Main Street Photo.

Eligibility:

  • Open to any amateur photographer residing in Bowling Green
  • Photos must be taken within Bowling Green city limits
  • Photos must be of a tree and not other landscape plants, such as shrubs, annuals, perennials.
