Gypsy Lane Road paving project in BG scheduled to take place June 13 to Oct. 31

Vehicles travel on West Gypsy Lane Road in Bowling Green.

The Gypsy Lane Road paving project in Bowling Green is set to begin June 13. This start date is weather dependent.

This project involves the milling and paving of two segments of Gypsy Lane Road. The first is West Gypsy Lane Road from Sand Ridge Road to approximately 125 W. Gypsy Lane Road, and the second is East Gypsy Lane Road from the east side of the Interstate 75 overpass to South Dunbridge Road.

The contractor plans to begin milling efforts on June 13 and will begin a full closure of West Gypsy Lane Road between Sand Ridge Road and Rudolph Road on June 17. This full closure is expected to last two weeks, but is dependent on weather and progress of work.

Following the full closure, work will progress on the remainder of Gypsy Lane Road with one lane of travel blocked for construction. Construction flaggers will assist the traveling public around the work zone.

The contract completion date for this project is Oct. 31, 2024.
