The Wood County Emergency Management Agency has issued the following advisory:
Widespread showers and storms are expected late this afternoon (Wednesday, 6/5/24) through this evening with a cold front. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for a few of these storms to turn severe.
- The most numerous thunderstorms and risk for isolated severe weather are expected between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. from west to east
- Locally damaging wind gusts are expected to be the primary severe weather hazard
- Storms will be accompanied by torrential rain rates, which may lead to localized flooding
- Any scattered showers and storms earlier in the day today are not expected to be severe
