Wood County Green Party to mark the second anniversary of Dobbs Decision overturning Roe v. Wade

A rally for reproductive rights held in Bowling Green in 2022 after the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Monday, June 24, marks the second anniversary of the Dobbs Decision that overturned Roe. V Wade. The Wood County Green Party is calling for a protest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of Main and Wooster streets in Bowling Green.

Also on Monday, there will be a discussion on the impact of Dobbs on American women. That will take place at 7 p.m. in the Veterans Building in BG City Park.

“Ohio passed a referendum last year, protecting the right to abortion care. But, it’s important for us to remember that for hundreds of millions of women around the country, overturning Roe V Wade meant the loss of a right women have had for over 50 years. There have been countless women who’ve suffered illness and death because of being denied basic medical care. It’s important that we remember this date in support of women everywhere,” said Joe DeMare, co-chair of the Wood County Green Party.
