A Bowling Green man was arrested for assault Saturday (9/28) after he allegedly punched a man in the downtown area.
BG Police responded to the 100 block of North Main Street around 12:53 a.m., to find a disoriented male lying on the sidewalk. Bar staff told police the man had been punched multiple times.
A witness told police she knew the man, and police were able to view downtown camera footage to identify the man. The video reportedly showed Evan Strifler, 22, hitting the other man five times before running southbound on North Main Street, then eastbound on East Wooster Street, as he allegedly tried to cover his face.
Police found Strifler at his apartment and took him to the Wood County Jail.
