Senior center to serve up desserts for dinner with a side of dancing on Valentine’s Day

The Wood County Committee on Aging will host a dessert for dinner event with dancing, sweets and good company. This event will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St., Bowling Green.

The event will highlight local community organizations and their specially made desserts. And there will be dancing, with music provided by DJ T-Town.

Several community businesses will have tables with featured desserts for those attending to sample. Attendees will have the chance to select their favorite desserts, and a cumulative vote will determine the top dessert at the event.

All funds from the event will go toward the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program, which has an upcoming cornhole tournament.

Any organizations looking to secure a table for this event can register with the Wood County Committee on Aging Programs Department at 419-353-5661 or email programs@wccoa.net.

For more information or to purchase a “dessert pass,” contact the WCCOA Program Department at 419-353-5661, or 800-367-4935 or email programs@wccoa.net.
