Bowling Green Police responded to an alleged hit-skip accident on Friday (1/10) and ended up arresting a man for violation of a protection order.
An off-duty police officer reportedly witnessed the hit-skip at Pearl Street and Martindale Avenue at 6:23 p.m. Another witness was able to give police the license plate number and report the van involved was headed east on East Wooster Street.
Officers located the van in the parking lot of a hotel on East Wooster Street. While questioning the driver and passenger, Ezekiel Taylor, 21, of Miamisburg, reportedly told police he had a firearm in the duffel bag by his feet.
Police discovered Taylor had a protection order in place that made it a violation for him to possess a firearm. The handgun had one round in the chamber, and nine in the magazine.
Taylor was taken to Wood County Jail.
