Bowling Green Police Division assisted other law enforcement Sunday (1/26) around 4 a.m., by locating a vehicle that had been chased by Ohio State Patrol and Findlay Police Department due to a reported trespassing offense.
Findlay Police had reported they were in pursuit of a red Subaru on northbound Interstate 75, but had given up the chase. So a BGPD officer in a patrol vehicle sat on top of the East Wooster Street exit ramp in case the Subaru got off at the exit.
A red Subaru exited I-75 circled both roundabouts and got back on I-75 southbound.
The BGPD officer followed the vehicle and was notified that the Ohio State Patrol was preparing to apply spike strips ahead on the road to stop the car. The BGPD officer activated the overhead lights and the car pulled over.
The driver, Brooklin Gelbaugh, 22, Findlay, and a passenger got out of the car. Gelbaugh was transferred into a state patrol vehicle, until Findlay police arrived on the scene.
