Annie is back again at the Wood County Dog Shelter, looking for a place to call home. Annie originally came into the shelter as a stray and was adopted out, but did not get along with the dog already in the home. She was brought back to the shelter and was adopted out shortly after – but was brought back because she was too much for the adopters living in the city.
She was again adopted out, but her owner started having medical issues and had to make the tough decision to bring Annie back to the shelter.
“We would love for Annie to get adopted sooner rather than later because she is a great dog who deserves a forever home,” said Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “She would do great in a house with older children, but we are recommending that she be the only dog in the house. She has lived with cats in the past and did well with them.”
Annie is about 3 years old, spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
