Barbara A. Poe, beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on February 27, 1949, Barbara was a pillar of strength and compassion in the lives of all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Bowling Green High School, Barbara dedicated her professional life to her role as a sales representative for Daymark Safety Systems. However, her true passion lay in her commitment to her community and faith. As an active member of the Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene, Barbara , and Tom devoted countless hours traveling from state to state, volunteering to help maintain the grounds of various churches through the ROAM program (RVs On A Mission). Barbara also had a creative spirit, spending countless joyful hours scrapbooking, where she recorded the memories and adventures of her family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas Poe; her son, Bryan Bockbrader; her sister, Mary (Ken) Emerine; her brother, Gene Goeminne; her stepchildren, Tom, Chad, and Michele; and her seven grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Goeminne.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Bowling Green Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, October 11th, at 1:00 pm. There will be a reception at the church following the service. Donations can be made to the Church of the Nazarene.
