Barbara L Kilgore

Barbara L. Kilgore, 86, of Haskins, Ohio passed away on May 30, 2026. She was born December 10, 1939, in Haskins to Eldon and Annabelle (Arnold) Duncan.

Barb grew up in Haskins, and as she grew, so did her sense of adventure and independence. After graduating from high school, Barb moved on her own across the country to California; no small feat for a young woman in the 50s. This same spunk and tenacity she carried throughout her life. Before her retirement, Barb worked as a Transcriber at Gallon & Takacs Law Firm.

Barb enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband Jimmy, and cruising around in her ’58 Chevy Convertible. She loved sharing stories about her convertible almost as much as she loved driving it! Barb loved animals, and shared special bonds with many pets over the years. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite team, The Ohio State University, and loved all sports, but football was her favorite. Barb cherished her family and adored her grandkids more than anything. She loved spending time with them and had an especially close bond with her only granddaughter Logan, who was her best friend.

She is survived by beloved husband Jimmy Kilgore; sons Eric (Christy) Propst of Lake Orion, Michigan, Kevin Propst of Perrysburg, Ohio, Scott Propst of New Baltimore, Michigan, sister Doris Winters of Bowling Green, Ohio, and grandchildren Steven Propst, Brendon Propst, Logan Propst, Gavin Propst, Brayden Propst, and Duncan Propst.

In addition to her parents, Eldon and Annabelle (Arnold) Duncan, Barbara was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and by brother Darryl Kilgore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her service at 1:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home located at 18620 Washington Street, Tontogany, OH 43566. Pastor Steve Bauerle will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Tontogany Cemetery.
