Meet Bentley, a 1-year-old pittie that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. His owners contacted the shelter, stating they were coming to pick him up, but never showed up.
“He is a super sweet, energetic boy that loves everybody he meets,” said Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “He loves to give kisses and will check in with you when he is walking. He does like to pull when he sees his dog friends so will need some work on his leash manners.”
Bentley is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on his vaccines.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
