Bethany Eschedor

Bethany J. (Palmer) Eschedor, 52, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on December 7, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bethany was born on September 30, 1971 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Jim Palmer & Betty Clarke Palmer. She graduated from Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green State University with a degree in Interior Design. She began her career at Homeworks Paint Store and, while there, created her own drapery company, Elegant Elements, before taking time away to start her family. She was a wonderfully creative person, with a great eye for detail that followed her throughout all facets of her life.

On December 3, 1994, Bethany married her soulmate, Scott Eschedor, who was her faithful partner for 29 years. They lived a beautiful life together – building their own home, creating a family and tackling life’s challenges with grace and unity.

To Bethany, her biggest accomplishment was raising her three children: Isabella, August and Edison. A stay-at-home mom for most of their early life, there was nothing she was more proud of than her children. From being P.T.O. president, Girl Scout troop leader, and volunteering for endless school and sporting events, she was always ready to devote her time to her children’s ambitions and interests.

Once her children were older and she returned to work, she found passion in multiple jobs, including being the Building Substitute for Crim Elementary, working as a Pharmacy Technician at the Falcon Health Center and, most recently, doing Investor Relations for Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. She also created and led a cancer support group for others affected in the community.

Bethany knew the love of God and shared His love with others daily. She was a very active member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she led Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and served as a committee member. Her faith provided her much comfort and strength through to the end.

Bethany will always be remembered for her lively spirit, warm personality and selflessness. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who had the unique ability to make anyone feel loved, cherished and accepted. Many will agree that she lit up any room she walked into, and she will forever live on in the memories of those who love her greatly.

Bethany is survived by her husband, Scott; children: Isabella (Daz) Carter, August Eschedor and Edison Eschedor; parents-in-law: John and Ruth Eschedor; siblings: Kerry Palmer, Kelly (Tom) Griffing, Eric (Jackie) Palmer, Erin Szavuly and Brett (Lisa) Palmer; brother-in-law Gregg (Jennifer) Eschedor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Her funeral service will be held on Friday December 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Rd. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Interment will follow at Fish Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held Friday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
