The Bowling Green Board of Education hired a new EMIS specialist during a special meeting Monday morning.
Hollie Parsons was hired to fill the position previously held by Esther Moosbrugger.
“This job is an extremely important job,” Superintendent Ted Haselman said, noting that Parsons has eight years of experience in the position at a neighboring school district.
The Education Management Information System position involves reporting of district data to the state, ensuring that Bowling Green City Schools gets all the state and federal funding available to the district.
Parsons, who has held the EMIS position at Lake Local Schools for eight years, will be paid an annual salary of $73,000.
Also at Monday’s special meeting, the board voted to temporarily reassign Assistant Treasurer Richelle Oberlin to the position of interim treasurer for the period of June 3 to July 31. The new treasurer, Matt Feasel, will take over the role on Aug. 1.
