The Bowling Green Board of Education voted Tuesday evening to hire Cathy Schuller as the new district treasurer. She will fill the position held by Rhonda Melchi, who is retiring after 22 years.
Schuller, who lives in Perrysburg, is currently the assistant treasurer for Rossford Exempted Village School District. With about 1,600 students, Rossford is about half the size of the Bowling Green district, she said. But there are similarities between the districts, Schuller noted, such as the capital campaigns run in both districts.
