From BOWLING GREEN CHRISTIAN FOOD PANTRY
Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry (BGCFP) held its annual Thanksgiving Basket Distribution. During this event, 102 families received food bags that included a choice of turkey, chicken, ham, and a bag of cookies. These food bags served a total of 290 people in Wood County.
BGCFP accomplished this thanks to the support of several organizations. The Salvation Army provided the names of families in need and donated coats, scarves, hats, and gloves. First Christian Church generously opened its facility to host the event. The BG Fire Department donated turkeys, while Insomnia Cookies provided cookies. Kroger contributed grocery bags.
Additionally, students and teachers from Penta Career Center packed the food into bags. Volunteers from St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, First Christian Church, and BGCFP assisted with shopping for families and donated food items.
