Parents looking for a night out without the kids will get an assist from the Bowling Green Community Center. The Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Department is bringing back its Parents Night Out programs on select Friday nights in January, February and March.

These programs will be an opportunity for parents to drop off their kids at the Bowling Green Community Center while they get some time to themselves. Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join at the Community Center for a Friday night of activities including games, arts and crafts, gym time, and the Freedom Climber rotating climbing wall.

Registration is limited to the first 20 kids and the program sessions have sold out quickly since their introduction. The Parent’s Night Out sessions are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. on the following Fridays: Jan. 17 and 31; Feb. 14 and 28; and March 14 and 28.

Children should eat dinner before being dropped off for the program. Parents are also welcome to send a snack with their child if needed. No food or snacks will be provided at the event. The program costs $12 per city resident child per session and $15 per non-resident child per session.

Registration for the winter 2025 sessions is now open at https://buff.ly/3MmGmvL.
