When golf concludes, lunch will begin at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place teams, closest to the pin, and long putt.
The annual golf outing is a major fundraising event for the Bowling Green Community Foundation. Each year, the organization uses the money raised to award grants to local non-profit organizations that serve the community.
Title sponsor of the golf event is Edward Jones. Other corporate sponsors include Marsh and Marsh Attorneys, Wood County Hospital, Rudolph Libbe Group, The Spieker Company, Binkelman Corporation, and William Vaughan Company.
“The golf outing is extremely important to the foundation as it is our largest fundraiser throughout the year to support the overall efforts of the foundation. All the support from the community is greatly appreciated through sponsorships and support of the golf outing. We are looking forward to another great event on 9/29 at Stone Ridge,” said Matthew Karaffa, Bowling Green Community Foundation trustee and golf committee chair.
Registration for participation and sponsorship opportunities are still open. A corporate sponsorship opportunity costs $750 or $850, including a punch card. For golfing foursome participation, it is $450 or $550, including a punch card. The purchase of a punch card includes four mulligans, a hole 5 proximity challenge, and a hole 18 trivia contest.
