Bowling Green Police responded to help the fire division on Sunday, at 4:34 p.m., when EMS was aiding an injured person found in possession of a weapon in the 700 block of Pearl Street.
Benjamin Welborn, 21, Bowling Green, was suspected of being intoxicated and had a concealed handgun in his waistband. The firearm had one live round in the chamber and a magazine with four live rounds.
Welborn reportedly had slow and slurred speech, and acted confused when police spoke with him.
He was charged with possession of a weapon while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon.
